Mosquitoes are more than just a nuisance — they can pose serious health risks by carrying diseases such as West Nile virus, Zika virus, dengue fever, malaria, yellow fever, chikungunya, and encephalitis. At Environment 1st Pest Control, we offer effective mosquito control solutions designed to help reduce mosquito populations around your home or business and improve outdoor comfort year-round.
While complete mosquito elimination is not possible, mosquito populations can be significantly reduced with consistent treatment programs.
Our monthly In2Care mosquito stations are designed to disrupt the mosquito life cycle before mosquitoes reach adulthood. These innovative stations attract mosquitoes to specially treated netting, where they pick up a biological control agent and transfer it to nearby breeding sites, helping reduce future generations. Each station provides coverage for approximately 4,300 square feet.
We also offer a separate 21-day mosquito barrier treatment service that targets active adult mosquitoes in perimeter areas such as shrubs, brush, landscaping, and planter beds. For maximum effectiveness and continued protection, this service is recommended every 21 days during mosquito season.

With 30+ years in the industry, our expertise includes precise localized "spot" treatment methods for drywood and subterranean termite control.

Environment 1st Pest Control, LLC's team of experts that have seen it all.
We have the expertise to handle it.
Right Photo: Dead drywood termite swarmers (alates), The future kings and queens of a colony, are shown alongside frass in an attic environment after emerging and shedding their wings. This “swarmer start” indicates early termite activity that can lead to a new infestation if not properly treated.
Once frass is removed or disturbed, signs of activity may become more difficult to detect. Drywood termite colonies typically take 2–4 years to mature before producing visible pellet droppings and a new batch of swarmers (alates) from within the wood, allowing infestations to spread into attic spaces and wall voids if left untreated. Fortunately, this attic had a preventative treatment measures.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will my house fall down if I have termites?
No—having termites does not mean your house is going to fall down overnight. However, termites can cause serious structural damage over time if left untreated. The concern isn’t immediate collapse, but the gradual weakening of wood and structural components that support your home.
Are termites dangerous to my home?
Yes. While they don’t cause sudden destruction, termites can quietly damage critical structures such as beams, flooring, drywall, and framing. If ignored, this damage can become extensive and expensive to repair.
How much damage do termites cause?
Termites are responsible for billions of dollars in property damage each year in the United States. Because they often go undetected, the cost of repairs can increase significantly the longer they are left untreated.
How often should I get my home inspected?
It’s recommended to have your home professionally inspected at least once a year. Regular inspections help detect termite activity early and prevent costly structural damage before it worsens.
Why is early detection important?
Early detection helps stop termite damage before it spreads. The sooner an infestation is identified, the easier and more affordable it is to treat—helping protect both your home and your investment.

Left photo: These are drywood termite droppings. Visible pellet expulsion indicates a mature colony, typically established for 2–4 years, and now entering the reproductive swarmer (alate) stage.
Right photo: Shown here are Eastern subterranean termite mud tubes, often located along exterior foundation walls. These tubes provide protected pathways into the structure through very small openings—sometimes just 3/32 of an inch

If signs are left ignored and untreated, infestations can quickly escalate, leading to costly damage and serious safety risks as colonies continue to grow. Structural components such as balconies, stairs, beams, drywall, and baseboards may become compromised over time. This is why yearly annual professional home inspections are strongly recommended.

Fumigation: can be a helpful option in certain situations and offers a fresh start when Drywood termite issues are severe and in certain situations Formosan termites. That said, it’s not always the most practical choice. It can be expensive and requires you, your family, pets, and plants to leave the home for several days, along with extra preparation steps. While it’s effective at eliminating termites present at the time, it doesn’t provide ongoing protection against future infestations.
Localized or “spot” treatments: For any homeowners, localized or “spot” treatments are a great alternative, especially when there's other attached units/multiple homes. These treatments target the problem areas directly and leave behind protection residual to help prevent termites from returning. With routine yearly inspections, you can catch issues early and avoid larger, more costly treatments down the road.

Ecological and Economic Impact:
Termites play an important role in natural ecosystems by breaking down dead and decaying wood, helping to recycle nutrients back into the soil and support healthy forest regeneration. This process is essential for maintaining balance in many environments.
However, when termites enter homes and other structures, they become destructive pests. By feeding on structural wood, they can cause hidden damage that often goes unnoticed until it becomes significant. Over time, infestations can lead to costly repairs and ongoing maintenance issues if not properly treated and managed.
Preventive measures include:
• Sealing exposed wood surfaces
• Maintaining painted or treated wood
• Installing fine mesh screens on vents
• Reducing cracks and gaps around structures
• Keeping firewood and lumber away from buildings
• Scheduling professional termite inspections
A yearly termite inspection is the best way to stay proactive in protecting your home. Early detection is the key to prevent structural damage and can save significant time and money on repairs.
If a situation requires fumigation measures, our team can assist in coordinating and facilitating the appropriate treatment process.
